However, it seems that people do not have a good solution for these problems. The most efficient and widespread method of repelling mosquitoes and flies in rural areas is to spray insecticides and set rat bait stations, which are cheaper and more convenient than high-end products, but these methods also have flaws. As an open environment, if you want to maintain a mosquito-free state for a long time, you should always spray insecticides, and the cost will be expanded limitlessly. The common rat bait stations in the countryside are often open-ended, which not only makes the rat poison damp easier and lose the effect, but also easily eaten by the animals around. We made a contrast test in the laboratory, Pestman cockroach gel bait VS Advion cockroach gel bait. We put the cockroaches into experimental box, and squeezed Pestman cockroach gel bait and Advion cockroach gel bait in the center of the box. 10 minutes later, cockroaches starts crawling towards Pestman Cockroach Gel Bait. Advion cockroach gel bait also attracts several cockroaches, but these cockroaches do not stay and eat the gel bait. Half an hour later, Pestman cockroach gel bait is surrounded by dozens of cockroaches and the cockroaches eat Pestman cockroach gel bait crazily. But on Advion side, cockroaches do not seem to plan to eat it from the begining. Obviously, Pestman cockroach gel bait is more attractive to cockroaches because of its excellent palatability.
Pestman Group and ZheJiang China International Blueberry Research Institute cooperated to test Pestman vinegar fly attractant. According to the requirements of the blueberry research institute, we surveyed the local topography and plant status, and investigated the harm of local fruit flies. We designed the targeted prevention and control scheme, arranged the attractant scientifically in the blueberry plantation.
The blueberry plantation used its own ordinary yellow board traps and pheromone traps to control fruit flies, but the effect was not satisfactory. The staff in reach institute told us that their yellow board traps had been hanging for one year. After analysis, we found that most of the insects on the yellow board traps were mealworms, as well as a few mosquitoes, flies. Fruit flies are not particularly sensitive to yellow color, so using ordinary yellow board trap to control fruit flies in blueberry plantation is not very effective.
On May 2019, our vietnamese customer trialed our fruit fly yellow sticky trap in their plantation.
There are papaya, guava, common bean and bitter melon in it. The trial began at 10 am of local time on 8th May, the weather is cool, temperature 23-27 ℃.The data were recorded for three weeks, from 8th May to 29th May.
